Ratings last updated July 30, 2026
Ibexis Life & Annuity Insurance Company is an insurance carrier whose annuities appear on AnnuaLife's rate boards. It holds an AM Best financial-strength rating of A- (Excellent).
AM Best assigns Ibexis Life & Annuity Insurance Company a financial-strength rating of A-, which sits in its "Excellent" category. An AM Best rating is an independent opinion of an insurer's ability to meet its ongoing insurance and annuity obligations, its claims-paying ability. It is not a measure of investment performance, and it is not a guarantee. Annuities are backed by the issuing insurer, not the FDIC. An A- sits in AM Best's "Excellent" category, near the lower end of that range, reflecting its assessment that the company has an excellent ability to meet those obligations. Ratings can change; the rating shown here was last checked July 30, 2026.

Ibexis posts some of the highest index caps on our board, up to 20.25% on its FIA Plus series at the time of writing. Those caps come paired with an A- rating, which is still in AM Best's "Excellent" range but near its lower end. Two things to read carefully: a cap that high shapes the actual credited return through the index mechanics, and the Premium Bonus versions carry noticeably lower caps in exchange for the upfront bonus, so the two flavors are not interchangeable. This is a rate-versus-rating and a headline-versus-mechanics tradeoff at once. An advisor can model what these caps would realistically credit for you.
